CPKC Holiday Train
Socials
The CPKC Holiday Train is an annual philanthropic and festive event organized by Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), the North American transnational railway. Its primary purpose is to raise food and monetary donations for local food banks across the railway’s vast network in Canada and the United States. This special program involves two elaborately decorated trains, each approximately 1,000 feet long and covered in hundreds of thousands of LED lights. At each of its nearly 200 stops, a modified boxcar opens to become a stage where professional musicians perform a free, half-hour holiday concert for the community, encouraging attendees to contribute to the local food bank. Since its launch in 1999, the Holiday Train has become a beloved tradition, generating millions of dollars and millions of pounds of food to help combat food insecurity during the holiday season.
